Zoox is now recalling its entire fleet of 105 vehicles after the unoccupied car had to be guided out by a remote operator. Autonomous vehicles can handle a lot of routine driving. Emergency scenes are where the harder questions begin. Smoke, blocked roads and first responders require context that does not fit neatly into a standard driving model.
