Convenience was always the business. Wawa, right there with Buc-ee’s on the shortlist of gas stations people bring up unprompted, is putting its own brand on Tesla charging. They already host 223 Supercharger locations with 2,115 stalls, and now the first Wawa owned, Wawa branded site is live in Alachua, Florida. That is more than signage. It is a shift in posture from “we host chargers” to “we operate the stop.” Under Tesla’s Supercharger for Business program, hosts can own the site and set the price. If the gas station folks are saying there is money in EV charging with their investments, then maybe other brick-and-mortar businesses should tune in? Watch the full episode at the link in our bio.
