A man died and seven children are hurt after a stolen car full of the youth – ages 12 to 15 – slammed into a car in Germantown, Maryland, before sunrise Tuesday, authorities say.⁠ ⁠ The name of the man who died was not immediately released.⁠ ⁠ The violent crash occurred at Clopper Road and Great Seneca Highway. First responders arrived at about 5:25 a.m. and found a white Kia Optima and blue Toyota Matrix with extensive damage. The Toyota’s driver was pronounced dead on the scene.⁠ ⁠ "The preliminary investigation determined that the white Kia Optima, reported stolen from a Montgomery County residence several hours after the collision, entered the intersection and struck a Toyota Matrix traveling on Clopper Road," county police said in a statement.⁠ ⁠ The Kia’s driver was rushed to a hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.
