#SoundOn: Our feature today is with a talented, young artist named
#Mothica who has been through so much in her life, but that is what has allowed her to create the stunningly, haunting electro-pop music she puts out today. We had the opportunity to interview her for her amazing debut album
#BlueHour which was recently released at the end of August. Mothica, neé McKenzie Ellis, is an Oklahoma-born and LA-based songstress who tells her story in this 12-track project. It’s a deep, dark journey through the depths of her mind and the real struggles she faced with addiction and mental health and the process of getting sober. With a sound much like Halsey, Banks, and Elohim, she continues this emerging trend of the sad, yet strong girl that is relatable, relentless, heartbreaking, and comforting.
