Tom Holland has been praised after opening up about how dyslexia has affected his career. The Spider-Man star revealed he has turned down hosting Saturday Night Live because he's "heavily dyslexic" and finds the show's cue cards intimidating.
Speaking on Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast, Holland said: "They've asked me a few times to do it and the truth is that I'm just really scared... I'm just so petrified at the concept of trying to read something and they change."
Holland also shared that reading scripts out loud can be a challenge, saying he often prepares extensively before table reads by highlighting and learning his lines in advance.
The Dyslexia Association described his comments as "powerful and genuinely brave", while charity Scope said they highlight some of the challenges disabled people can face at work.
