The year is 2010, a freshman in college bumpin @realcoleworld through the halls while babysitting his nephews (meanwhile everyone thought they were my kids 😂). The Come Up, The Warm Up, Friday Night Lights; so much essence to a guy tryna make it & finally doing so (or so he thought). Fast forward SIXTEEN YEARS, I’m here with my nephews celebrating one of the greatest generational runs for an artist. As an uncle, you PRAY you can find something to bond with. Thankfully Jermaine was one of those things. Seeing my nephews traverse the world and slowly define themselves. Xavier goin to college, Jariel locking in career paths this shit is CRAZY. On the way back we playin’ all of Cole’s old joints & Xavier has a realization that all these classics are gonna hit THAT MUCH HARDER once he starts school. Cuz J.
