Alabama State Jacory Croskey-Merritt NCAA probation is now official. 📰 The NCAA hit the HBCU with a Level I-Mitigated infractions ruling on July 28, tied to altered 2019 football stats.
Alabama State received three years of probation and a $30,000 fine, plus one percent of its football program budget. ASU won’t appeal, but school officials strongly dispute how the case was classified — pointing out that Arizona, which certified Croskey-Merritt to play in 2024, got only a Level III violation and a $500 fine.
Croskey-Merritt is now a running back for the commanders after going seventh round in the 2025 NFL Draft.
