Another new ruling is shaking up everyone's preseason plans... A federal court ruled on Friday that all high school class of 2022 athletes who exhausted their fourth season of college eligibility this spring are eligible for a 5th season in 2026-27. While the ruling is likely to be appealed by the NCAA, there are major logistical issues for fall sports that will be heading back to campus in the next few days, if they aren't already back. Most fall athletes who graduated in the winter or spring are more than likely not prepared to compete in a few weeks.
