Well folks, it’s hard to believe, but another wildflower season in Crested Butte is coming to a close. For now, we’re soaking up one last icon of late summer, Fireweed! Known for thriving in disturbed soils after wildfires, each vibrant plant can produce up to 80,000 seeds. For many, these brilliant blooms are a bittersweet reminder that summer is winding down.
