#FromTheArchives On Sunday 14th January 2024, Jonathan Bailey got his first Critics Choice Award for 'Fellow Travellers' and made sure to put his acceptance speech to good use. Taking to the stage after winning the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made For Television, Bailey thanked his co-star Matt and series creator Ron Nyswaner, before launching into a heartfelt tribute to the LGBTQ+ community. Bailey went on to say that the character of Tim, whom he will “carry forever”, teaches viewers to “tell the special people in our lives that we love them before it’s too late.” Bailey, who started talking about being gay “from the age of 11”, has dedicated his career to telling stories about the LGBTQ+ community – something he has been able to do a lot more of since his Bridgerton success.
