Students are going back to school and that means field trip season has begun at the Sacramento History Museum! We have a variety of educational school programs that are available in-person at our museum, as a virtual field trip, and also as outreach programs in the classroom. In this video, Lou, who has been a docent for over a year now at the museum, discusses many of the school programs we offer at the museum. As part of our Gold Rush program, which includes a print shop presentation, we demonstrate operating our printing presses. Lou presents a good portion of those print shop programs. One of the prints we show during the program is a wanted poster with the teacher’s name on it. An example of that poster is what Lou letterpress printed using our Washington hand press, which was made in 1852. Want to learn more about our school programs?
