Hiding your phone doesn’t work. You put it away, then you “just check” once, then again and the time’s gone.

👉FIRST, WHY CHECKING KILLS YOUR ATTENTION:
Every time you glance at your phone and go back to studying, your brain doesn’t switch back clean. Part of your attention stays stuck on what you saw. Psychologist Sophie Leroy proved this in 2009 and named it “ATTENTION RESIDUE”. So a 2 hour session with 6 checks isn’t 2 hours of study, it’s 6 shallow restarts. You’re not lazy, you’re paying a hidden tax.

1️⃣ ONE PLACE TO SCROLL, ONE PLACE TO STUDY:
Your brain ties habits to places. Scroll in the same spot you study and that spot starts triggering the urge. So keep your phone out of your study space completely. Different room, ideally. The boundary does the work so your willpower doesn’t have to.
