STOP ON TWO FEET. It's not a suggestion.
Watch how many "good" players in your gym can't do this simple thing.
They catch it moving. They land on one foot, then the other, off balance, travel waiting to happen — and nobody says a word because the ball still went in.
Here's the truth nobody tells your kid: the jump stop is a skill, not an accident. Two feet, same time, under control, ready to pivot either direction, ready to shoot, pass, or go. That's not footwork for footwork's sake — that's the difference between a player who's in control of the game and a player the game is happening to.
Most kids never get taught this. They get taught to score. Nobody teaches them how to stop.
This is what we work on. Not because it looks good on a highlight reel — it won't. Because it's the stuff that separates players who last from players who flash and disappear.
Two feet. Every time. No exceptions.
That's Basketball IQ. That's the work.
