Ten years ago, when I first moved to the UK, I thought it was just a pit stop. A short chapter. A few years, maybe. Then back to what I knew. Who knew a decade later, I’d still be here, still building, still living, still breathing this life I didn’t plan for. Looking back now, I realise I can’t call one place home. Because home was never a place. It’s a feeling. A feeling of belonging, even when you start with zero history somewhere. A feeling of safety, when everything around you is unfamiliar. A feeling of purpose, that grows the longer you stay and build. And slowly, without realising it, you build that history. You build that community. You build that comfort. I used to think home was something you leave and go back to. Now I know, home is something you carry. It travels with you, wherever you build it next. This is what it means to be an immigrant who built a life thousands of miles from where they started. 🌍 #immigrantlife #immigrantstories #homeaway #immigrantentrepre...
