I love pitbulls. They are in my logo, tattooed a couple places on me, and in my heart forever. That being said, they are one of the most misunderstood dog breeds out there. From hunting to service work to protection to companionship, these dogs can do pretty much anything any other breed can do…and well. The drawback is a deep genetic disposition towards aggression of other dogs.…they were bred for 100s of years for this exact purpose so it’s not a surprise. Of course, now there are some breeders out there now breeding for the opposite of this trait, but the genetic disposition will always be there. And it’s why even though they are one of my favorite breeds to train and be around, I wouldn’t get another any time soon. I give my dogs a ton of freedom and a lot of unsupervised, roaming time in the pack. It just wouldn’t make sense for my lifestyle. Love the breed though. Not sure what dog breed is for you?
