More than three years after Erin Weber disappeared from Scottsdale, a man has been charged with her murder. Erin has still never been found. The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced Friday that a grand jury indicted 41-year-old Joseph Ryan Vigil on one count of first-degree murder. Weber was last seen at a home near 64th Street and Osborn Road. After her family was unable to reach her, they reported her missing in January 2023. Scottsdale detectives spent more than three years investigating the case. Search warrants, forensic evidence and numerous interviews ultimately led prosecutors to file the charge, but Erin’s whereabouts remain unknown. Vigil has made his initial court appearance and remains in custody. Investigators have not said how he and Weber knew each other.
