Christopher Anthony Harmon, 30, was arrested last month in Tucson on charges of strangulation, kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated harassment. Court records say he strangled his wife several times until she lost consciousness and would not let her leave the home. They had been married three months.
At his court appearance, she told the judge he strangled her and threatened to take her life, that she has physical injuries, and that she lives in fear. His bond went from $50,000 to $100,000 right there. He was already on misdemeanor probation for a domestic violence offense at the time of the arrest. The details of that prior case, including who the victim was, have not been released. He has been charged, not convicted.
