A Hello Kitty sticker is one of the reasons police were able to track down the man behind a Tucson road rage case. David Cedeno, 30, was sentenced Monday to 7½ years in prison after pleading guilty to a road rage incident that left two teenage girls hospitalized. Investigators say the girls were trying to merge near Golf Links and Kolb when Cedeno repeatedly blocked them. Police say he then pulled alongside their vehicle and fired into the car, with one round striking both girls in the legs. Both survived. The girls remembered two details: a personalized license plate reading “HATHER” and a Hello Kitty sticker on the back of the SUV. Detectives traced the vehicle to a nearby home, where police say the passenger admitted she had already removed both the plate and the sticker, leading to an additional evidence tampering charge.
