A 2 year old was found barely conscious in a smoke-filled Glendale house. Police say his mother’s blood alcohol content was 0.379. According to court paperwork, Kallien Heathman’s ex showed up at the home on Sierra Street near 65th Avenue, south of Cactus Road. He found Heathman unconscious on the floor near the couch, the toddler strapped into a car seat, and the house filling with smoke. He called police. Officers went in through a living room thick with smoke. The child was barely conscious and not moving, so they carried him out first. When they went back for Heathman she came to and started resisting. A 7 year old was also in the home and wasn’t hurt. The source of the smoke was pizza burning in the microwave. Heathman and the toddler were taken to a hospital to be evaluated. Investigators put her blood alcohol content at 0.379.
