One of the questions I get asked the most about my time on Rich House, Poor House is: “Did you have to pay for the weekly budget yourselves?” The answer is no. The production team provided each family with the budget they were allocated for the experiment. We didn’t have to use our own money for the weekly food shop or household spending—it was all part of the programme. There are so many questions people have about what really happens behind the scenes, so I thought I’d start answering them.
