HEAD ON A SWIVEL 😳 I’ve been doing this a long time, but the last 2 weeks has sent me FOUR reminders of how dangerous being on/around the field can be, including this near de@th experience on Friday night from a @dmac24ballplayer foul ball that was a laser beam coming directly for my face. I was looking up and saw this thing coming straight at me, ducked fast, reached back to balance myself, and instead went 🍑 over 🫖. It happened so fast that many of my colleagues thought it had made impact, but I was fortunately okay as my feet, clad in their shiny spiked blue loafers, went up in the air as I weeble-wobbled on the turf. Of additional note: - I was hit square in the gut by a foul ball at Wrigley 6 days prior - I knocked away an errant foul ball 5 days earlier as it was heading towards a little girl next to me - the next foul ball also came right at me a few pitches later but I was behind the net - the next day: a broken bat came right at me in the same spot behind the net Not sur...
