My 5 Lessons: 1. Views do not equal dollars. Viral videos won't automatically put money in your bank account. If you want to make a living from social media, you need an actual business plan behind the views. 2. Brand deals start with free product, not cash. When companies first start reaching out to you, it will mostly be a lot of free gear. Very few brands will want to actually pay you at the beginning. 3. Niche traps are real. Getting views for something you don’t want to do forever is a dangerous cycle. I love gear videos, but when those blew up, my page became less film centric, which was not what I wanted. 4. Creative burnout is inevitable. You will have weeks where you are completely fired up and weeks with zero ideas. My biggest piece of advice is to batch record content when the inspiration is actually flowing. 5. Organization is everything.
