Sarpreet Singh has become the first Punjabi Sikh player ever to play at a FIFA World Cup after featuring for New Zealand in their 2-2 draw against Iran. To see SINGH on the back of a shirt at the biggest football tournament on earth was a genuine pinch me moment. I’ve spoken for years about how special it would be to see the name SINGH at a World Cup. Today, that dream became reality. On a personal level, this is a very proud moment.
