What kept it moving was the belief, determination and commitment of the people around the table. My fellow Board Members have put a huge amount into getting this off the ground, and that has mattered. For a long time, I’ve felt football has needed a stronger voice in this space. One that is independent, voluntary and rooted in the community. One that is prepared to speak with honesty and purpose. Not for show. Not to tick boxes. But to help push for fair recognition, better opportunities and stronger representation for South Asians across the game. That is why SAFA matters.
