Atrazine is so dangerous it's banned in more than 60 countries, yet it's the second-most widely used pesticide in the United States. ⚠️😷 Yet an astounding 70 million pounds of atrazine are sprayed across U.S. soil every year, drenching the food that we eat and even contaminating water supplies from lakes, rivers, streams and even our drinking water. Your favorite lake to swim in? There's a chance it's contaminated with atrazine. In humans, atrazine is a known endocrine disruptor — meaning it interferes with hormonal processes — and it recently, the World Health Organization found it is likely carcinogenic.
