Following on from brain surgery, It was 7 years ago today that I finished my radio therapy to treat my brain tumour. When you finish radiotherapy it is tradition to ring a bell in the hospital (who knew!) Although that was just the start of the chemotherapy program, which was brutal!
But all of that has meant I am still here and my tumour is stable and unchanged.
A massive shout out to my amazing friend Charlotte Notley who took me for this last appointment and many others, something I will never forget. Also to Emma Grant who arrived just as I rang the bell with out beautiful one year old daughter.
It wasn’t that long after this that Covid hit and I wasn’t really allowed out at all for two years! Seems like a age ago and hardly believable.
The battle continues to fight cancer.
Remember that brain tumours kill more people under 40 than any other cancer. BUT it only receives 1% of the cancer funding! Crazy right?!
