When I’m not gatoring, I’m out in the crawfish ponds filming invasive apple snails. If you saw my video last night, here is a look at those bright pink egg clusters above the water. They are a threat to Louisiana crawfish production, so keep these safety rules in mind: Hands Off! The eggs contain a neurotoxin. If you see them, crush them with a stick and knock them into the water, do not touch them bare-handed. Do NOT Eat: Raw or undercooked, these snails can carry rat lungworm parasite.
