So I make them in my waffle maker instead—and they turn out incredibly crispy, golden, and so delicious every single time. Perfect for monsoon season, tea time, or whenever you’re craving Indian comfort food.
Here’s how:
• Slice onions, sprinkle with salt, and let them sit for 15 minutes.
• Once they release water, gradually add besan (gram flour) and rice flour along with spices, green chilies, and cilantro.
• Mix into a thick batter. Add a little more flour if needed to absorb the moisture.
• Heat your waffle maker and spray both sides with oil.
