My grandfather’s cousin dated a Tombstone cowboy in a John Ford Western! 😆 Related to my previous post with the Doc Holliday/Val Kilmer print from Terry Wolfinger, these are a couple personal connections to the movie Tombstone. Over the past two years, I’ve had an incredible journey learning more about relatives I had distant knowledge of, but was shocked to finally come home and find out who they were. My grandfather’s uncle was Pat O’Malley, and his daughter and my same grandfather’s first cousin was Kathleen O’Malley. Pat was one of the first male lead silent film stars, and Kathleen was a long term career actress, who had second billing in one of John Ford’s first Westerns, with Ben Johnson from the Wild Bunch and many more! I have discovered more and more about this side of the family that was somewhat lost to us partly due to my grandfather’s early death.
