During her law school journey, Alaine presented at the Midwest Black Law Students Association Convention, served as an editor for the MWBLSA Journal, and helped revitalize UMKC’s Black Law Students Association. Through the ACE Program, she also received mentorship, conference support, professional exposure, and continued encouragement as she prepares for the Bar Exam. Alaine’s journey demonstrates why individualized support matters. Talented individuals with disabilities and chronic conditions, as well as caregivers, often need more than financial assistance.
