ISI-backed terror module allegedly linked to a planned attack at Jantar Mantar. According to Amritsar Police, some of the arrested accused had travelled to Jantar Mantar in Delhi, collected information about the protest site and allegedly planned to target protesters with petrol bombs. The attack did not take place, and the accused later returned. Police said 9 people were arrested, including 4 minors, with 3 pistols, 9 bullets and 4 petrol-bottle bombs recovered. The case was disclosed by Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar on August 4. On August 7, he was transferred from the post.
