Always been kinda terrified of spiders but it's faded a lot over the last 5 years. I'm now able to get up so close to these guys, and they're so interesting to watch at night. Found an ant caught in a spider web in my backyard, and the spider came in to deal with it. You see the whole thing at full speed first, then three moments broken down in slow motion: the web trim to line up the angle, the wrap as the ant gets spun into the silk, and the retraction back toward the center. Then he just walks off out of frame like nothing happened. The web trim is the part that got me. He cuts a section away before he starts wrapping, which I did not know was a thing until I watched it back slowed down. I've also been toying around with these guys and sound. The seem to react to any sound between 50-65hz by throwing their hands up in the air. I think I'm close to finding the spider tone. #spider #slowmotion #slowmo
