Meet Himalay ✈️ "Growing up, whether it was watching Air Crash Investigation, WW2 dogfights, or even Top Gun, I somehow always believed aviation was my calling. It was in 6th grade that I decided I wanted to become a pilot. Growing up in India with no connection to aviation in any shape or form, I had no idea how to pursue what felt like a silly dream, but I had faith that somehow things would work out. Looking back, I'm glad I trusted that feeling. Teaching is considered one of the highest forms of service in my culture, so instructing was something I genuinely looked forward to. I get to meet people from all kinds of backgrounds, and I enjoy figuring out how each student learns best. One of my favorite students had a really hard time learning how to land. There were moments when he wanted to give up, but he trusted me when I told him he'd get it one day as long as he didn't quit. Today, he has his PPL and regularly rents airplanes from P6.
