How much time are you spending responding to emails and messages during the day? 📧 Things like: “Can you join a quick meeting today?” “When can we schedule a call?” “Can you take a look at this bug?” “Can you make this small change before EOD?” “Can you send me an update on this task?” “Can you check why this isn’t working in production?” And then there are Slack messages, Jira tickets, stand-ups, code reviews, and endless coordination issues with the team. And if you don’t respond to the message… they’ll just call you and ask, “Did you see my message?” 😭 Sometimes it feels like I spend half the day communicating about the work instead of actually doing the work.
