Have you waited over an hour at the doctor? This happened today. I had a few patients that waited an hour to see me. Am I happy that happened?! NO! Was I panicking internally I was wasting their time while they waited? Absolutely. The truth is. If you’re waiting an hour it’s bc something/someone ahead of you has not gone according to plan and everyone in the office is trying their best to move quickly to course correct. Whether it’s a broken bracket, broken retainer, a patient who needs more help than the time allotted, etc. But at the end of the day I know my patients deserve my full attention and if that makes us behind once in a blue moon then it has to happen. So if you go to the doctor and end up having to wait.. just know it’s for a reason and something has not went according to plan.
