Happy National Library Week! Libraries are a cornerstone of the justice system. They serve as essential entry points where everyone, from judges and attorneys to law students and self-represented litigants, can access the legal information that governs our daily lives. By offering public court forms and specialized research tools, libraries ensure that information about laws are available to anyone working to navigate the legal process or simply interested in how they work. In the Kansas Judicial Center, the Supreme Court Law Library offers specialized state and federal materials. We are also fortunate to have incredible academic resources nearby, like the Wheat Law Library at KU and the Washburn University School of Law Library. These institutions, along with the State Library at the Kansas Capitol, and local community libraries across the state, act as vital spots for the public to find the legal information they need closer to home.
