The Rural Justice Initiative Committee was tasked with examining the shrinking number of attorneys in rural areas. Their first recommendation to address this issue is to establish a rural attorney training program. The program would create tuition reimbursement incentives for prospective attorneys to encourage them to attend law school in Kansas and ultimately practice in rural Kansas.
