A teen opened fire after a Facebook Marketplace meetup in Manotick went EXTREMELY WRONG‼️😨🇨🇦 What was supposed to be a simple Marketplace transaction outside a bank on Beaverwood Road allegedly turned into an attempted armed robbery after police say the young prospective buyer pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the seller. Two shots were fired, but luckily nobody was struck by gunfire. Out of all places to allegedly try something like this, the suspect happened to be in Manotick, one of Ottawa’s more affluent suburban communities, with both a security guard AND an off-duty police officer nearby. 😭 The seller, security guard and off-duty officer reportedly worked together to take the suspect into custody before responding police arrived.
