Ottawa could be in for severe storms with strong winds & large hail this afternoon and evening‼️😨⛈️🇨🇦 Environment Canada has issued a yellow severe thunderstorm watch for Ottawa, warning that some storms could bring wind gusts up to 90 km/h, large hail, heavy rainfall and a possible tornado risk. Some areas could see up to 50 mm of rain, while hail could range from quarter-sized to as large as ping-pong balls. Environment Canada says conditions may become favourable for tornadoes, although confidence in the tornado threat remains low. Ottawa is expected to reach 25°C with a humidex of 30 Monday, with a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms continuing into the evening.
