Nearly a week after Typhoon Mawar brought widespread damage to Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, more than 130 Red Crossers are on the ground helping residents by:
āļø Distributing relief supplies like clean-up kits, tarps and personal hygiene supplies.
š„ Helping with feeding efforts at community-run shelters.
š«” Supporting service members and their families at the military Emergency Family Assistance Center (EFAC) on Andersen Air Force Base and Navy Base Guam.
š¶ Partnering with local agencies for pet care and assistance.
š Assessing residential damage in affected communities.
Many island residents have been left without power or safe drinking water, and we will be there for them in the days and weeks to come as they take steps toward recovery. ā¤ļø
