Never lose heart and never give up in chess or in life. Never surrender! Last night I found myself playing online on chess.com in an intense blitz game. The game was pretty even until about 30 moves in, when I had to give up my queen after being pinned by a bishop. If I hadn’t given up my queen, my king would’ve been in jeopardy and it would’ve been checkmate. About 60-70 moves into the game, my opponent made a huge blunder and I got his queen with my rook. Shortly after, I used both of my rooks to pin his king against the wall and his own rook, giving him nowhere to go. “And we will fight. And in fighting we will win.
