. kevin_mejia_forec 👇🏽 🚨 COMMUNITY UPDATE — EAST CHICAGO Earlier this morning, reports and video showed what appeared to be ICE agents in the area of the Dunkin’ Donuts on Indianapolis Boulevard in East Chicago, as well as at the BP gas station near 145th Street and Indianapolis Boulevard, across from Harrison Elementary School. This is especially concerning because today is the first day of school. Seeing masked agents making an arrest is frightening for children and families, especially when it is happening so close to a school. This is already the second time this has happened at that corner. Regardless of anyone’s immigration status, our children deserve to feel safe, secure, and protected when going to school. THIS IS NOT OKAY! #chicago #immigration #familia #raza #indigenous
