Children’s bedrooms are surprisingly difficult to get right.
You want them to feel special for children when they are very little but not so childlike that they need rethinking a few years later.
This room was designed for an eight year old in our Belsize Park project, with plenty of storage, somewhere to study and designed so that she will still love it well into her teenage years.
A muted, almost neutral pink was chosen. Bespoke joinery designed to feel whimsical but very practical. Not visible in the photo are the two new full height French doors and balconies we designed that allows the room to open out with views to the Victorian streets beyond.
