Diego Pavia and his NFL dreams might be over before it started. After going undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft despite finishing as the 2025 Heisman Trophy runner up at Vanderbilt, Pavia signed with the Baltimore Ravens hoping to earn a roster spot and prove every NFL team that passed on him wrong. But the Ravens waived him before he even got the chance to take a snap in an NFL preseason game. It’s a tough break, but it doesn’t erase what he accomplished in his NCAA College Football career, as he won SEC Offensive Player of the Year, having 39 total touchdowns.
Making the Ravens’ roster was going to be tough, as they already have NFL MVP Lamar Jackson with Derrick Henry, Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Mark Andrews, Kyle Hamilton, Roquan Smith, Nnamdi Madubuike and Marlon Humphrey who are expected by most NFL fans to compete for the Super Bowl.
