This Instagram post compares the 2026 pitching stats of Luis Torrens and Edwin Díaz, and the numbers are pretty funny. Torrens, who is actually a catcher, currently has a 7.71 ERA, 1.714 WHIP, and zero blown saves, while Díaz has a 10.80 ERA, 2.500 WHIP, and three blown saves. The post also shows that Torrens has only allowed 4 hits and 2 earned runs, while Díaz has given up 17 hits and 12 earned runs. Obviously they are pitching in completely different situations and Torrens has a much smaller sample size, but seeing a catcher have better pitching numbers than an actual reliever is still hilarious.
