Paulina Alexis and Crystle Lightning are starring in the new mystery drama Anna Pigeon, premiering August 7th. Based on Nevada Barr's bestselling novels, the 10-episode series follows park ranger Anna Pigeon as she investigates crimes hidden across America's national parks. Paulina Alexis (Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation), known for Reservation Dogs and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, plays young park ranger Zoey Bear Child. In recent interviews, Alexis said stepping into a dramatic role pushed her outside her comfort zone after years of comedy, adding that she learned by working alongside series lead Tracy Spiridakos. Crystle Lightning (Enoch Cree Nation), whose career spans film, television and music, plays park dispatcher Frieda Dierke, joining the ranger team in a recurring role. Filmed in Alberta, the series uses Canadian landscapes to portray several of America's national parks.
