Bethel senior Lauryn Douglas (Sr. / North Mankato, Minn. / Mankato West) was named the MIAC Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Year after earning a perfect 10-0 record in conference play at the No. 1 singles position for the Royals during the 2025-26 season. Douglas has gone 25-1 overall throughout her senior campaign, with the lone blemish coming in the semifinals of the Midwest ITA Regional tournament in September 2025. She is the first Bethel player to be selected the MIAC Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Year since the award was established in 2022-23. Douglas was also honored as the MIAC Chris Evert Award recipient. The award annually recognizes a senior women's tennis student-athlete who exhibits outstanding sportsmanship and exemplary athletic, academic, and humanitarian accomplishments.
