Meet Ben McQueeney, a biochemistry Class of 2026 graduate on the pre-med track from Howard County, Maryland!
As a lector for LoyolaCampusMin, a member of the LoyolaPreHealthSociety, a Loyola_Intramurals referee, and a four-year member of LoyolaMDSGA, Ben did it all at Loyola! He also studied abroad in Newcastle and visited Rome on a Campus Ministry pilgrimage!
Through his work with Loyola’s Health Outreach Baltimore program (Loyola.HOB) at Mercy Medical Center, Ben discovered what kind of physician he hopes to become. "This program fundamentally changed the way I think about medicine. Being a good physician means caring for the whole person, understanding that social determinants of health matter as much as treatment, and recognizing that every person’s story extends beyond the exam room." Ben embodied these values in his two summer internships at the University of Maryland’s St. Joseph Medical Center.
