Firefighters and military units kept battling on August 11 as wildfires raged across Spain.
A large wildfire in southwestern Spain was burning beyond firefighters' ability to extinguish it on Monday, regional authorities said, as hot and windy weather fuelled other blazes raging across the country.
More than 600 firefighters backed by 26 water-dropping aircraft battled the blaze which broke out Thursday in the Andalusian province of Huelva, said the region's minister for emergencies, Antonio Sanz.
