A 14-year-old student killed at least seven people, including his grandparents, before taking his own life in a shooting at a school outside Bangkok on Friday, police said.
The victims at Debsirin Nonthaburi School were teachers and staff, while 23 others were wounded. Police said the teenager fired at least 26 rounds using a gun belonging to his grandfather.
Students were evacuated from the school as emergency crews treated the injured. Witnesses described hearing repeated gunshots before the school fell quiet.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation. It is the second school shooting in Thailand this year and the country's deadliest mass shooting since 2022.
